Immunization Clinic

The Immunization Clinic reduces and eliminates the spread of vaccine preventable diseases by providing immunization education and vaccination services.

The Immunization Clinic provides routine immunizations to children from birth to 18 years of age through the publicly funded VFC program. These vaccines are also provided at outreach clinics around the county.

Immunization Schedule

The Immunization Clinic also provides vaccines for adults, international travelers, those with occupational risk, medical indications, and for post-exposure disease control efforts.  The International Travel Line is: 937-224-8697.

What vaccines does my baby need?
Your child needs shots at 2, 4, 6, and 12 months of age and again at 4 to 6 years of age. Here’s a helpful chart.
Are babies the only persons that need vaccines?
No. Vaccines are needed for children before starting school, again at adolescence, and even into adulthood.
Are vaccines safe?
Yes. Studies have shown that vaccines are safe and effective. Extensive research and testing is conducted prior to FDA approval of vaccine.

National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW)

NIW April 21st-28th is National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW).

The goal of the Immunization Program is to increase awareness about immunizations across the life span, from infants to the elderly. NIIW is the perfect time to remind family, friends, co-workers, and those in the community to immunize their children, as well as catch up on their own vaccinations.

Public Health-Dayton & Montgomery County holds outreach clinics for children each month.
