National Recovery Month is a national observance held every September to educate Americans that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with a mental and/or substance use disorder to live a healthy and rewarding life.
The focus of 2016 National Recovery Month (Recovery Month) this September is to celebrate their journey with the theme Join the Voices for Recovery: Our Families, Our Stories, Our Recovery! Recovery Month spreads the message that behavioral health is essential to health and one’s overall wellness, and that prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
If you or someone you know is struggling with a substance abuse, gambling or behavioral health condition, call Addiction Services of Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County at (937) 461-5223 for a treatment referral or an Assessment. You can also visit our website.
