HIV/AIDS Prevention

The HIV/AIDS Prevention Programs concentrate on the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission in Montgomery County through evidenced-based educational interventions, counseling, testing and community planning. Programs offer free anonymous and confidential HIV testing using the Ora-quick Rapid test that provides clients with a result in just 20 minutes.

HIV/AIDS Prevention Committee

The HIV/AIDS Prevention Committee meets the first Thursday of each month at:

Meeting starts at 4:00 pm.

Ozone Season Begins in the Miami Valley

Ozone LayerThe 2013 ozone-monitoring season officially began on April 1. Ozone pollution is formed from emissions from cars and industry on warm sunny days.

RAPCA measures ozone pollution at six locations in five counties – Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery and Preble – and provides daily air pollution forecasts. RAPCA issues Air Pollution Advisories when ozone pollution is expected to be unhealthy for sensitive individuals.
