We offer free smoking cessation clinics for teens and adults. PSA blood tests for the early detection of prostate cancer are also offered on a limited basis.

Presentation Topics

Our community advocates offer cancer education presentations to groups of all ages — at schools, youth groups and community organizations. Presentations are geared to the appropriate age level of each audience.

Our educational presentations address many lifestyle and genetic factors that can lead to cancer. Topics cover a range of subjects, such as:

  • Healthy Eating

Public Health in the Community

National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW)

NIW April 21st-28th is National Infant Immunization Week (NIIW).

The goal of the Immunization Program is to increase awareness about immunizations across the life span, from infants to the elderly. NIIW is the perfect time to remind family, friends, co-workers, and those in the community to immunize their children, as well as catch up on their own vaccinations.

Public Health-Dayton & Montgomery County holds outreach clinics for children each month.
