Public Health’s programs connect with the community by playing an active role in numerous community events and programs throughout the year. On this page you will find selected examples of these efforts.

Public Health’s Local Office on Minority Health participated in the African American Wellness Walk at Island MetroPark in August of 2023.

The EveryOne Reach One Maternal and Infant Vitality Task Force along with Public Health’s Maternal Health program, and Dayton Children’s Hospital hosted a Black Breastfeeding Luncheon in at Dayton Metro Library’s Northwest Branch in August of 2023.

The Community Overdose Action Team, Public Health, ADAMHS, and One Fifteen, hosted an Overdose Awareness Day at Levitt Pavilion in August of 2023.

America’s Farmers Market Celebration
The Montgomery County Food Equity Coalition was on hand at 2nd St. Market for the 2023 America’s Farmers Market Celebration, presented by American Farmland Trust and the Farmers Market Coalition.

Public Health staff attended Old North Dayton’s Night Out Against Crime held August 1, 2023 at Stuart Patterson Park in Dayton.

Our Health Promotions staff help organize the 2022 Montgomery County Food Summit at Sinclair College

Public Health was on hand to recruit new workers at the Montgomery County, Ohio Job Fair.
