This National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day encourages women and girls to make the best choices when it comes to sexual health.
As of June 30, 2018, there were 303 females living with a diagnosis of HIV in Montgomery County. This represents 20% of the total HIV infections.
While HIV and AIDS can be confusing, women can learn how to stay safe and healthy, and educate friends and family to do the same. Keep in mind, the “best defense against HIV is a good offense.” Love yourself, practice safer sex, and take action to help end HIV and AIDS.
Join in the HIV response! Put on your red pumps (or any red shoes) and come enjoy Girl Talk with Mocktails and hors d’oeuvres. There will be a variety of educational activities including FREE HIV testing, fun entertainment, and the “Cutest Red Shoes” contest.
Call: 937-225-4023 by March 13 to RSVP.
