Healthy Families America
Healthy Families America (HFA) is a free, voluntary home visiting program that supports pregnant women and new parents from pregnancy through their child’s third birthday. The program helps families build strong relationships, promote healthy child development, and reduce the risk of abuse and neglect.
Key Features of HFA:
- Home Visits: Weekly, hour-long visits begin during pregnancy or within three months of birth and continue until the child turns three.
- Long-Term Support: Services typically last at least three years, with visit frequency adjusted based on family needs.
- Evidence-Based Approach: Focuses on nurturing relationships, trauma-informed care, and child development.
- Family-Centered: Services are tailored to each family’s culture, strengths, and goals.
- Comprehensive Support: Assistance with parenting, mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and more.
- Community Connections: Families are linked to local organizations and resources.

Eligibility:
- Must be a Montgomery County resident
- Pregnant or postpartum (up to three months after birth)

- Immunization Clinic - The Immunization Clinic reduces and eliminates the spread of vaccine preventable diseases by providing immunization education and vaccination services.
- Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) - The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, better known as WIC serves families by providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, referrals to health care and social service agencies and supplemental foods which promote good health.
