Let’s Talk About Using Condom Sense
When used the right way every time, male condoms and other barriers like female condoms and dental dams, can reduce (though not eliminate) the risk of sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and viral hepatitis.

Do You Know About PrEP?
People at very high risk for HIV take HIV medicines daily such as PrEP to lower their chances of getting HIV. PrEP can stop HIV from taking hold and spreading throughout your body. It is highly effective for preventing HIV if used as prescribed, but it is much less effective when not taken consistently. And remember, PrEP protects you against HIV but not against other STDs.
Daily PrEP reduces the risk of getting HIV from sex. Your risk of getting HIV from sex can be even lower if you combine PrEP with condoms and other prevention methods.
There are more HIV prevention options than ever before. Learn more about PrEP to decide if it is right for you.
Talk with Public Health – Dayton & Montgomery County about if PrEP is right for you. Call (937) 225-4550.
