The Tuberculosis (TB) Program controls the spread of TB in Montgomery County. We ensure all persons with active TB are treated, and we work with community partners to screen individuals who are at high risk for TB.

Screenings and Services:

  • TB skin tests are provided by appointment call (937) 225-4550.
  • To schedule an appointment for an evaluation of a positive result, contact the TB Clinic nurse during normal business hours. (937) 496-6657
  • Providers who need to report an active case of TB can call the TB Outreach nurse, at (937) 496-6584, or for more information, they may contact the TB Clinic Nurse line at (937) 496-6657.
  • TB screening efforts are focused on high-risk individuals, including contacts to active TB cases, those with substance use disorders, homeless persons, persons who test positive for HIV, persons in correctional facilities, and persons who come from countries with a high incidence of TB.
  • The TB Program serves as a resource for community-based health care providers seeking information on screening, diagnosing, and treating TB.

Persons at high risk for TB:

  • Those from countries where TB is prevalent.
  • Those who are homeless.
  • Those with substance use disorders
  • Those who live in congregate settings such as correctional facilities, residential treatment centers, or long-term care facilities.
  • Those who test positive for HIV.
